Evangelism and Mission Committee

Chair: Sara Wetzel

Purpose: The Evangelism committee should strive to find new ideas to increase the participation of our membership and to increase our membership and to increase the number of members by spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Membership:  Minimum of Pastor, one (1) Session member, two (2) Deacons, and three (3) congregational members as needed.

Meetings: at least quarterly.


  • To staff a church coffee hour before and after church each Sunday.
  • To organize outreach activities to reach new members and encourage the renewed participation of inactive members.
  • To follow up on visitors to worship services.
  • To update church roll as needed.


Purpose: The Mission committee handles mission projects selection and oversees mission projects.  The committee interprets to the congregation the issues, concerns, and educational programs of the denomination such as special offerings, materials and resources.  Encourages the members to participate in missions as they are physically and financially able.


  • Identifies mission projects and recommends amounts to be spend on them for Session Action.
  • Finds people to prepare and present minute for mission during Sunday worship services.
  • Recruits volunteers to participate in local mission projects.
  • Educating the members of the need of missions, locally and globally.
